MARIA ROSA FRANZIN

1951 Tripoli Libia. Studia alla Scuola d’Arte P. Selvatico di Padova e all’Accademia d’Arte di Venezia. Dal 1986 è docente al Liceo Artistico P. Selvatico. Dal 2013 è Presidente AGC. Dal 1985 partecipa ad esposizioni nazionali ed internazionali. Partecipa alla prima edizione di Pensieri Preziosi ed a Collect al V&A Museum. Co-Curatrice del Premio Fondazione Cominelli, di esposizioni nazionali e di convegni nell’ambito del gioiello. Relatore a Joya Barcelona al Beijing Istitute Fashion Technology in Cina per una Class di Progettazione orafa, al College of Art di Edimburgo. Laboratorio Formentini per l’editoria Milano. I suoi lavori sono presenti in collezioni permanenti: Museo degli Argenti, Palazzo Pitti, Palazzo Zuckermann a Padova, MAD Museum New York.
Vive e lavora a Padova.

MARIA ROSA FRANZIN

She was born in 1951 in Tripoli, Libia. She studied at the Art School P. Selvatico in Padua and at the Academy of Arts in Venice. She teaches at Liceo Artistico P. Selvatico since 1986. She has been appointed President of AGC Association for Contemporary Jewelry in 2013. She has been taking part in national and international exhibitions since 1980. She exhibited her works in the first edition of Pensieri Preziosi and in Collect held at the V&A Museum in London. Since 2010 she is co-curator of the Cominelli Foundation Award, of national exhibitions and conference in the field of jewelry. She was invited as a speaker at Joya Barcelona, Beijing Institute Fashion Technology in China and for Classes of Jewelry design, at the College of Art in Edimburgh, and at Laboratorio Formentini per l’editoria Milano. Her works are displayed in permanent collections: Museo degli Argenti, Palazzo Pitti, Palazzo Zuckermann in Padova, MAD Museum New York. She lives and works in Padua.

ROSSELLA TORNQUIST
Curatore Premio

Nata a Salò, (Brescia) proveniente da una formazione artistica, si occupa del gioiello dagli inizi degli anni ottanta, inizialmente come designer per collezioni bijoux di moda. Ha svolto attività didattica all’Istituto Europeo di Design di Milano, ed in corsi superiori di formazione, recente lo stage per l’Onlus “il Nodo” presso la scuola di argenteria di Phnom Pen in Cambogia. E’ co-fondatrice di AGC, e co-curatrice del Premio Fondazione Cominelli. Dal 1990 partecipa a esposizioni nazionali ed internazionali, tra le quali nel 2011”Loot” al Mad Museum di New York, nel 2013 al progetto Eternal Platinum China Tour per Platinum Guild. E’ presente nell’Olnick – Spanu Collection, NY USA. Dal 2001 collabora a progetti cromatici in ambito architettonico e di design.

ROSSELLA TORNQUIST

She was born in Salò, (Brescia) coming from a family with an artistical background. She started working with jewelry at the beginning of the 1980s, initially as a designer for bijoux collections in the fashion industry. She has been involved in the didactic activities of the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milano, and in advanced training courses, such as the recent internship for the Onlus “il Nodo” at the silverware school of Phnom Pen in Cambodia. She is one of the co-founders of AGC, and co-curator of Cominelli Foundation Award. She has been taking part in national and international exhibitions since 1990, among which in 2011”Loot” at Mad Museum in New York, in 2013 the Eternal Platinum China Tour for Platinum Guild. Her works are part of the Olnick – Spanu Collection, NY USA. Since 2001 she has collaborating in color projects in the fields of architecture and design.

ROSANNA PADRINI
Consulente Culturale e Curatore Premio

Nasce a Gaiole in Chianti, Siena. 1978 Laurea con lode in Architettura al Politecnico di Milano. Si occupa di progettazione, ristrutturazione, architettura di interni e giardini compreso quello giapponese. Lavora con privati ma anche per il Comune di Manerba dove ha progettato un’area verde pubblica ed un alboreto in località S.Maria in provincia di Pescara. Cura l’allestimento della mostra fotografica di A.Tondini per il Comune di Gavardo dell’Associazione A.M.A. Dal 2003 partecipa a workshop di Feng Shui Avanzato internazionali e con l’ architetto Howard Choi del Principal Feng Shui College of Sydney e Claudio Melloni dell’ Istituto Uruguayo di Montevideo. Perfeziona la conoscenza sui giardini alla Facoltà Agraria di Torino. Ha l’incarico di consulente culturale e curatore delle esposizioni che si tengono nella Fondazione Cominelli – Cisano di S. Felice del Benaco. Vive e lavora a Salò.

ROSANNA PADRINI DOLCINI 
Cultural advisor and curator of the Awards

She was born in Gaiole in Chianti, Siena. She graduated cum laude in Architecture at the Politecnico di Milano in 1978. She works on design, renovation, interior architecture and gardens, including Japanese gardens. She works for private subjects but also for the City Council of Manerba, where she designed a public green area and an alboreto in Santa Maria, near Pescara. She curated the photographic exhibition ofA. Tondini for the City Council of Gavardo, A.M.A association. Since 2003 she takes part in international advanced workshops of Feng Shui with the architect Howard Choi of the Principal Feng Shui College of Sydney and Claudio Melloni of the Istituto Uruguayo di Montevideo. She specialized on gardens at Faculty of Agrari in Turin. She has been appointed as cultural advisor and curator for the exhibitions held at Cominelli Foundation – Cisano di S. Felice del Benaco. She lives and works in Salò.

RITA MARCANGELO
Curatore Collezione Permanente Gioiello Contemporaneo

1965 Nasce a Londra (UK). 1988 Laurea BA Hons. Degree, Thames Valley University, Londra. Dal 1997 Direttrice della galleria Alternatives, galleria dedicata al gioiello di ricerca. Nel 2004 è co-fondatrice dell’AGC Associazione Gioiello Contemporaneo. Dal 2004-2010 è Presidente dell’AGC. Curatrice di mostre e relatore in istituzioni nazionali ed internazionali, dal 2012 Membro della giuria per i Premi Fondazione Cominelli e curatrice della collezione permanente Fondazione Cominelli, Cisano di San Felice d/B (BS). 2013/14 co-curatrice del workshop “Weekend con il Gioiello”, analisi critica del gioiello contemporaneo con Benjamin Lignel e Manuel Vilhena. 2016 presentazione del catalogo Collezione Permanente Cominelli al Museo di Santa Giulia, Brescia. Si dedica inoltre alla stesura di testi critici nell’ambito della gioielleria contemporanea.

RITA MARCANGELO
Curator for the permanent collection of contemporary jewellery at Cominelli Foundation

Rita Marcangelo was born in London (UK) in 1965. She obtained her BA Hons. Degree at Thames Valley University, London, in 1988. She has been Director of the gallery Alternatives specialising in contemporary jewellery since 1997. She co-founded the AGC Association for Contemporary Jewellery in 2004 and was Chairman of the association until 2010. She has been curator of numerous exhibitions and speaker in national and international institutions. Since 2012 she has been Member of the jury for the Cominelli Foundation Awards and since 2012 she has been nominated curator of the Cominelli Foundation permanent collection with its headquarters in Cisano di San Felice del Benaco on Lake Garda. In 2013/14 she was the co-curator of the workshop “Weekend with Jewellery”, a critical analysis of contemporary jewellery, respectively with Benjamin Lignel and Manuel Vilhena. In 2016, she gave a conference to present the catalogue of the Cominelli Foundation permanent collection at the Museo di Santa Giulia, Brescia. She also writes critical essays in the field of contemporary jewellery.
